The position of Financial Service Representative (FSR) Floater is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to all bank customers. The FSR answers questions, provides information upon request, and assists customers in understanding and utilizing the bank’s products and services. Responsibilities include opening and servicing new and existing bank accounts, supporting the Branch Manager, maintaining a teller cash drawer, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. The role requires travel to cover assigned branches as needed.

The FSR must help ensure compliance with all bank policies and regulations.

Essential Functions:
  • Interview consumers desiring to establish a banking relationship.
  • Maintain current knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Open new accounts and service existing accounts.
  • Obtain required identification information per CIP and USA Patriot Act.
  • Update customer files and perform screenings via ChexSystems and FIS eAccess.
  • Process ATM/Debit Card and check requests, establish online banking access, and cross-sell products.
  • Manage certificates of deposit, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes as applicable.
Teller Line:
  • Operate a teller cash drawer and assist customers with transactions.
  • Process loan payments, cashier’s checks, and money orders.
  • Maintain records and adhere to BSA regulations.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and scan proof work.
Safe Deposit Box (if applicable):
  • Open/close safe deposit boxes, maintain files, and prepare contracts.
  • Allow customer access and record transactions.

Additional responsibilities include answering phones, covering for staff absences, and performing other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type:

Full-time, non-exempt, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Travel:

Travel between branches as requested.

Work Environment:

Office environment with standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

Writing, typing, speaking, lifting up to 50 pounds, driving, and other physical activities.

Mental Demands:

Reading, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, communication, and handling stress and interruptions.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year teller experience, 2 years in new accounts or related experience.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and operational policies.
  • Intermediate computer skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
