Responsibilities

Description

The Financial Services Representative (FSR) I provides a winning service experience and assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate processing and performing of transactions for Members and Non-Members including deposits, withdrawals, sale of negotiable instruments, etc. This position actively provides a broad range of Credit Union products and services. In order to safeguard the trust that Members place in our institution, the Financial Services Representative is performs assigned job duties accurately, efficiently and with the highest degree of integrity. Key Performance Expectations:

• Responsible for proper operation of a cash drawer and for accurately balancing the cash drawer, checks, all negotiable items and vouchers at the end of the work shift
• Handles all negotiable items, such as cashier’s checks, money orders, gift cards and temporary checks, US Savings Bonds, etc. in an accurate and efficient manner
• Makes effective referrals to other specialists when appropriate
• Performs Financial Center opening and closing duties as assigned
• Deliver exceptional Member service by actively supporting the Purpose, Values and Strategies of Excite Credit Union
• Represents the credit union to the Member in a courteous and professional manner. Is responsible for prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing all Member requests
• Build strong Member relationships by providing information and education regarding Credit Union products and services
• Promptly resolves Member requests and complaints in a respectful, caring and satisfactory way
• Stays abreast of company policies and procedures, promotional campaigns and regulatory compliance related to job functions
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Work Environment

Generally travels and performs job duties inside of the typical office setting with minimum time in an out of office environment. Team Member will be exposed to moderate stress levels associated with the performance of the job duties described above. There may be extended periods of computer and telephone use while performing job duties. Employee will be intermittently seated, standing and/or walking during the course of a normal business day.
