Role:

This role involves driving sales of Balance Sheet Management (BSM)/Asset Liability Management (ALM) products to new prospects within banks, credit unions, and financial institutions in the Western U.S. It also includes maintaining existing client relationships and identifying cross-sell opportunities. Key activities include prospecting through lead research and leveraging existing relationships, understanding and presenting our BSM/ALM value propositions, and managing the full sales cycle. Support from Solution Specialists, Industry Practice Leads, and business partners may be utilized based on opportunity complexity. A team-selling approach and travel to meet clients are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with sales and internal teams to identify prospects, initiate sales activities, and close deals.
  • Expand business within assigned territories by partnering with Relationship Managers, Solution Specialists, and Industry Practice Leads to create tailored proposals and demos.
  • Coordinate with Product Management to improve offerings and develop new revenue streams.
  • Maintain a consistent sales pipeline within CRM, aligned with the Banking Segment framework.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships by identifying needs and proposing solutions based on market and technical knowledge.
  • Provide personalized customer service and product overviews.
  • Understand client issues and business requirements.
  • Represent Moody's at industry events as needed.
  • Share market insights to enhance Moody's visibility internally and externally.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and provide feedback.
  • Report forecasts and pipeline updates to management.
  • Travel to meet clients and prospects in person.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; coursework in business, economics, finance, or marketing is a plus.
  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience in banking and financial services.
  • Experience in BSM/ALM sales and knowledge of banking finance/treasury is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, market dynamics, and customer drivers.
  • Ability to present high-level and detailed product information.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles using consultative techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with high attention to detail.

Salary range for US-based roles: $143,300 - $207,650, dependent on experience and other factors. Compensation includes base salary, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and more.
