Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Director to act as a front-line financial risk partner for Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC), reporting to the Head of FICC Financial Risk & Strategy.

You will oversee market, counterparty, and credit risk exposures and help establish governance with second-line teams. This role supports regulatory initiatives like FRTB and SA-CCR, partners with Finance on P&L attribution, and contributes to the integration of BTIG capabilities, with compensation commensurate

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial risk management or related front-line risk function.
• Knowledge of VaR, sensitivities, stress testing, limits and credit assessment.
• Working knowledge of FRTB, SA-CCR, CVA and related capital frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree; CFA/FRM/PRM designation preferred.
• FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required or onboarding plan.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior management.

• Provide first-line oversight of market, counterparty, and credit risk exposures across FICC trading desks.
• Challenge desk-level risk-taking and elevate breaches to senior management.
• Partner with second-line risk teams to establish governance boundaries and escalation standards.
