Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Director to serve as a front-line financial risk partner for Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC).

You will oversee market, counterparty, and credit risk exposures, ensuring governance standards and risk boundaries are maintained, in collaboration with risk teams across the organization. You will contribute to capital decomposition, P&L attribution discussions, and regulatory initiatives like FRTB/SA-CCR, while engaging with senior management and stakeholders with

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial risk management or related front-line risk function.
• Strong grounding in VaR, sensitivities, stress testing, limits, and credit assessment.
• Knowledge of FRTB, SA-CCR, CVA and related regulatory capital frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line oversight of market, counterparty, and credit risk exposures across FICC trading desks.
• Analyze risk-taking and breaches; escalate to senior management when needed.
• Partner with second-line risk teams to maintain governance and escalation cadence.
• Support risk-adjusted return analysis and capital decomposition by desk/product.
• Prepare risk commentary for senior management and governance forums.
