The role focuses on North America and EMEA, reporting to the Director, Interim Corporate Controller, and interacts with regional controllers, Tax, FP&A, and Legal.

You will influence key financial processes and regulatory filings for the U.S.-listed parent company.

With a strong track record of originating, developing, financing, and building nearly 9 GWp of solar and 3 GWh of battery storage power plants across six continents, Recurrent Energy has established a leadership position in both solar and battery storage project development. With a total pipeline of 25 GWp in solar and 47 GWh in battery storage, of which 14 GW and 12 GWh respectively already have interconnections (as of January 31, 2023). In addition, Recurrent Energy’s services business has 6 GW of projects under operations and maintenance contracts, either operational or contracted projects.

• Join Recurrent Energy’s Finance team with a focus on global group accounting close, consolidation, and financial reporting
• Primarily support the North America and EMEA regions

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly global group consolidation and analytical review process
• Prepare and organize:
• Consolidation proofs
• Notes to the financial statements
• Review financial data from subsidiaries and partner with regional controllers to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Maintain the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting system and lead system enhancements
• Identify and implement improvements to:
• Internal control procedures
• Support compliance with SEC public company reporting requirements for the U.S.-listed parent company, including regulatory filings with the SEC
• Advise and support regional accounting teams on complex or unusual accounting transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC interpretations
• Liaise with external auditors and advisors
• Perform other related duties as required
• Responsible for key areas of global financial reporting and consolidation
• Role has a direct financial impact on the organization

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation accounting
• Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
• SAP experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and project management skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• U.S. CPA
• ACCA membership
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• At least 3+ years of experience in consolidation or financial reporting
• Big Four audit background and/or recent experience preparing public company consolidated financial statements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• Mature, resourceful, responsible, detail-oriented, and highly organized
• Collaborative and team-oriented while capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lead, train, and develop junior staff
