New Orleans Public Facility Mngt, Inc. seeks an experienced finance leader to develop and maintain internal controls and ensure timely financial reporting. You will manage month-end close, audits, and statutory filings while ensuring GAAP/GASB compliance.
The role involves collaboration across the Financial Services Division, budgeting, forecasting, and resolving complex accounting issues, with a focus on accuracy and process improvements. Strong supervisory skills are required.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and maintain a system of financial controls principles, practices and procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Lead the month-end, year-end and audit process including preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with other members of the Financial Services Division to support overall department goals and objectives
Interact with other departments to discuss, implement and review MCCNO policies and procedures to ensure that all parties are aware of MCCNO requirements and expectations to achieve operational efficiency.
ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR SUPERVISION
Other Skills and Abilities
Minimum of three years' experience in a supervisory level position.
Experience in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training preferably in a large convention and/or multi-purpose facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPA and/or CGMA preferred.
