Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is offering a Financial Reporting Intern position in Dover, DE (with additional Newark, DE). You will assist with quarterly SEC filings, gather data from unit accountants, and support month-end close activities.

The role requires pursuing an Accounting degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and Adobe. This hands-on internship provides exposure to financial reporting, disclosures, and a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly SEC filings (10-Q / 10-K) and reviewing associated earnings call materials
• Gather necessary data from various business unit accountants and review for accuracy
• Assist with tie out procedures of completed disclosures
• Aid in preparing the quarterly disclosure checklist
• Performing quality control checks on the documents
• Aid the team with month-end close process; Gather data and prepare journal entries
