Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in Newark, Delaware is seeking an Accounting Intern to support close processes, reconciliations, and audit support while gaining hands-on experience.

You are currently pursuing an Accounting degree with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; effective communicator, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to ERP implementation projects.

• Strong analytical skills, pays close attention to detail, and good communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries
• Manage and complete balance sheet fluctuation analysis
• Help with business unit accounting close process
• Support financial statement audit by the external auditors
• Support other special projects as needed to support the company’s ERP implementation
