Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking an intern to support the Financial Reporting team in Chicago. You will assist with financial reporting, automation initiatives, and documentation improvements, gaining hands-on exposure to IFRS and US GAAP within the renewable energy sector.

The role requires enrollment in Accounting or Finance, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel. Onsite work in Chicago, IL is required for the fall program, with a pay range of $25–$40 per hour depending on student

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance at a US university program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis and optimization is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL throughout the fall program.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting and financial reporting teams in the preparation, review, and optimization of financial reporting models.
• Enhance Workiva model automation and process efficiency.
• Assist in assembling, editing, and standardizing documentation of financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Collaborate with team members to collect accounting information for audit support and external inquiries.
• Develop knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards and the renewable energy sector.
