Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC invites applications for the Intern, Investment & Valuation, Summer 2027 in Chicago, IL. The role supports the I&V team in advancing renewable projects, performing valuation analyses, and preparing materials for executive decision-making.

The internship emphasizes learning, cross-functional collaboration within Finance and renewables, and exposure to investment processes, governance, and digital solutions. Office-based role with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or graduating between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028
• Knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF) and financial modeling (Excel)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Interest in renewable energy or energy markets
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Responsibilities

• Support growth ambitions of Renewables in the Americas
• Develop quantitative and qualitative analyses of investment opportunities
• Ensure inputs to investment decisions are complete and valid
• Assist in preparing papers and presentations for leadership and board
• Identify improvements to investment processes and valuation models
• Support ad-hoc projects with senior management involvement
• Assist I&V team with quality control reviews
