Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area or equivalent work experience.
• 5–7 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry.
• Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Job Summary

Financial Reporting Assistant Vice President helps supervise a team’s preparation of monthly, semi-annual and annual reports for mutual funds in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements.

AVPs:

• Are the primary contact for clients; respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
• Manage the preparation of financial statements and review SEC filings
• Are the primary owner of the annual audit process
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of mutual funds and financial markets
• Lead training sessions to increase the team’s knowledge
• Identify and/or implement process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency
• Oversee client reporting
• Manage various projects
• Participate in committees and other department initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
• Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel
