Job summary

Momentum Worldwide in New York seeks an experienced finance professional to lead audits, manage monthly close and reporting, and support SOX controls. You will collaborate with Omnicom HQ and regional teams, and backfill accounting tasks as needed.

Requires a Bachelor’s in accounting, US GAAP/SOX knowledge, 3+ years in media/advertising finance, and strong Excel skills. Office-based role with global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related; professional certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX with experience in financial reporting.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in media or marketing agency finance.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and a strong communicator.
• Experience with Dynamics365 and Media Ocean preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external audits with accurate documentation promptly.
• Prepare management accounts, forecasts, and reporting into Onestream.
• Perform month-end closing, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, fixed assets, FX, and journal entries.
• Monthly ad hoc reporting to Omnicom HQ.
• Maintain SOX policies and controls around GL.
• Prepare monthly revenue by client statements and variance analysis with the Client Finance Lead.
• Submit monthly credit insurance reporting and cash flow forecasting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies; intercompany reporting.
• Identify trends and areas for process improvement to ensure best practices.
• Collaborate with local and regional media and finance teams; build a relationship with Omnicom HQ.
• Cover other accounting tasks as required; support Finance Director and CFO on ad hoc projects.
• Provide backup to Accounts Receivable Billing team members.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing; handling accruals, prepayments, deferred Income, Fixed Assets, Foreign exchange, and Journal entries
• Monthly ad hoc reporting to Omnicom HQ
• Maintain Sarbanes Oxley policies & controls around GL
• Prepare monthly revenue by client statements & conduct variance analysis with the Client Finance Lead
• Lead on all internal and external audits with accurate documentation promptly
• Submit monthly credit insurance reporting and Cash Flow forecasting
• Collaborate in developing & implementing accounting policies
• Responsibility for intercompany reportings
• Assist in identifying trends and areas for process improvement to ensure best practices
• Co-operate and communicate with local and regional media and finance teams
• Develop a relationship with Omnicom HQ personnel
• Ability to step in and cover other accounting tasks when required
• Support the Finance Director and CFO on various work streams and ad-hoc projects
• Be a backup to our Accounts Receivable Billing team members
• Ability to step in and cover other accounting tasks when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, AICPA/CGMA, or similar preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX & experience with financial reporting
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience, preferably from a media or marketing agency background
• Strong Excel skills are a must
• Confident yet diplomatic communicator
• Attention to detail and technical skills are essential; a strong understanding of double-entry is a must
• Prior exposure to Dynamics365 and Media Ocean preferred
• Proactive with “can do” attitude, a problem solver and self-motivated, who is prepared to challenge and create new processes when needed
• Able to multitask with minimal guidance and work under tight schedules
• Extreme attention to detail and highly organized
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and be tech-savvy

$75,000-$100,000

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
