Prudential is seeking an Accounting Implementation-Financial Reporting Associate to join the AIS team in Newark on a hybrid schedule. The role supports assessing and implementing accounting for new business, ensuring top-tier financial reporting, and partnering with Finance, Actuarial, and Operations.

The position requires an accounting degree and 1–2 years of experience, with strong Excel and GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree is required and foundational.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience; basic accounting skills required.
• Strong partnering and communication skills are essential.
• Analytical and research skills are important for accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn and work independently or in a team.
• Experience with STAT and GAAP reporting and FIS knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is expected.

Responsibilities

• Implement new accounting for new business initiatives; create Statutory and GAAP examples.
• Collaborate with Operations to implement table maintenance system changes.
• Test accounting transactions and reports in the administration system/sub-ledger (PIPS).
• Update documentation to support new business releases.
• Process proofs and controls in administration systems; research and resolve issues.
• Support other FSO teams and business partners with policyholder accounting questions.
• Provide internal and external audit support on policyholder accounting.
• Handle ad-hoc requests as needed.
