Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Financial Services is seeking a Finance Professional to join the General Accounting team. The selected candidate will interface with Financial Services team members and other NNL departments, analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity, and support monthly and year-end closing activities.

Additional duties include audit support and preparing periodic reports for management and Government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 4+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with general ledger processes and month-end/year-end close.

Responsibilities

• Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with internal/external audit requests and provide necessary documentation.

Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Financial Services is seeking a Finance Professional to join the General Accounting team. The selected candidate will interface with Financial Services team members and other NNL departments, analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity, support monthly and year end closing activities, support audit requests and prepare periodic reports to management and Government. Additional duties include maintaining process documentation to facilitate effective accounting operations and identify, develop and implement improvement opportunities to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of financial operations.

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Degrees in Accounting are preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud financial suite of tools.
• Current or prior experience in Accounting positions.

Pay Range

$70,900.00 - $108,500.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards, satellite, and vendor locations.
