The Financial Planning Specialist will work closely with a senior advisor to create agendas, prepare analyses, and provide recommendations that help clients make informed financial decisions. This is an ideal role for someone who is technically strong, organized, and eager to deepen their expertise in financial planning while contributing directly to client success. • Prepare client meeting agendas that include follow-ups from prior meetings, current financial priorities, and proactive planning topics.
  • Work alongside their Director or Investments to generate and analyze investment reports for accounts under management, highlighting performance, allocation, and opportunities for rebalancing or repositioning.
  • Review in-force life and disability insurance policies, producing policy illustrations and identifying opportunities for updates or adjustments.
  • Assist in financial planning analysis, including cash flow, retirement projections, education funding, tax-sensitive strategies, and insurance needs utilizing their eMoney platform.
  • Evaluate client savings strategies, tracking contribution levels and providing insights on whether savings are aligned with goals.
  • Create investment proposals and insurance illustrations, working with senior advisor to model scenarios and prepare presentations for client meetings.
  • Assist with money movement requestswhen necessary (transfers, contributions, withdrawals, distributions), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and ensure all documents, reports, and analyses are updated in the financial planning software and CRM.
  • Stay current with financial planning software tools, investment platforms, and industry best practices to continually enhance client service and efficiency.
  • Have a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help with any client support issues that arise along the way.
Qualifications

  • Prior experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or a similar role is required.
  • Well-versed in insurance, investments, taxes, and estate planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience using eMoney is highly preferred.
  • Experience with a CRM system (Wealthbox or similar).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and adopt new tech tools as needed.
Why Join Their Team
  • Work directly with a senior advisor and established clients.
  • Gain hands-on experience in comprehensive financial planning.
  • Professional growth opportunities, including support for CFP® certification.
  • Collaborative team environment where your contributions make a direct impact.
