Job summary

Grace Church of Minnesota Inc. in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a senior finance professional to lead the annual financial planning cycle, oversee capital planning, and deliver insightful reporting to ministries and boards.

This full-time role demands extensive accounting/finance expertise, MIS knowledge, and strong collaboration across departments. You will also help enhance financial systems and dashboards, partnering with ministries to drive budget discipline and transparent performance metrics

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Education: 4-year Accounting or Finance degree; Advanced Degree preferred.
• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and behavior.
• Knowledge areas: Accounting & MIS, Microsoft Office Suite, Financial Planning & Reporting Requirements.
• Strong relational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and discern the right way forward.
• Spiritual alignment with Grace Church values and ministry involvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, Improve, Execute the Annual Financial Planning Cycle.
• Measure performance to the plan and analyze variances.
• Build meaningful relationships across ministries and departments.
• Report out monthly to departments regarding financial management outcomes.
• Develop, track, and report on the 5-Year Capital Plan.
• Provide analysis of key metrics and dashboards for FMC/MLT/BOE reviews.
• Assist Sr Director of Finance in serving ministries on various projects.

Financial Planning Cycle

• Design, Improve, Execute the Annual Financial Planning Cycle.

Capital Expenditure Management

• Develop, and track performance against, the 5-Year Capital Plan.
• Track and report on individual larger capital projects to plan and budget.

Reporting and Metrics

• Provide analysis of key metrics, including developing management information dashboards.
• Prepare financial presentation materials for FMC, MLT, BOE reviews.
• Provide Attendance and Giving reports.
• Assist Sr Director of Finance in serving the ministries on various projects.

Systems Development

• Develop our financial and operating systems, improving efficiency and availability of reliable, consistent information.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
