Job summary

Grace Church is seeking an Accounting Director to own the day-to-day financial operations and contribute strategic thinking for stewardship of resources.

You will lead the accounting team, ensure accuracy of financial data, and implement system improvements to support ministry goals and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA or MBA a plus.
• 5+ years progressive experience in accounting or finance, including team leadership.
• Proficiency in accounting and payroll software; experience with QuickBooks, Paycom, and PushPay/ChMS is a plus.
• Discretion with sensitive financial and personnel information

Responsibilities

• Engage in all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, contributions, disbursements, payroll, employee benefits and special projects.
• Lead, develop, and support the accounting team in day-to-day execution.
• Ensure financial systems are accurate, efficient, and aligned with organizational needs; evaluate and implement new systems and improvements.
• Provide financial information and recommendations to church leadership and ministries.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity across all financial data and processes

Job Responsibilities

Engage in all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, contributions, disbursements, payroll, employee benefits and special projects

Lead, develop, and support the accounting team in day-to-day execution

Qualifications
