Northwestern Mutual is seeking College Financial Representatives interns to build an integrated financial planning practice with guidance and support from a Fortune 500 company. You’ll learn prospecting, client meetings, and planning using proprietary tools while earning exposure to licensing tracks and leadership programs.

The program offers a flexible schedule around classes, with potential to interview for full-time roles after graduation and access to training, events, and nationwide

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, student orgs, etc).
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base.
• Develop and execute on a business strategy.
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations.
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms.
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
