Job summary

Northwestern Mutual seeks College Financial Representatives in its internship program to build a financial planning practice while receiving guidance and access to exclusive products from a Fortune 500 company.

As an intern, you’ll learn prospecting, develop a business strategy, call on clients, prepare plans, and gain exposure to planning software, with weekly coaching and licensing support (SIE, Series 6, 63) and opportunities to interview for full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government)

Responsibilities

• Learn prospecting and network to build client base
• Develop and execute on a business strategy
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings
