Job summary

The University of Chicago BSD Budget team (Financial Planning & Analysis) is seeking a detail-oriented budget professional. You will develop and monitor operating budgets, perform variance analysis, and prepare data-driven reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field strongly preferred.
Strong educational background with focus in business, economics or related technical field; coursework in accounting and finance preferred.
A minimum of 2-5 years of accounting, finance, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in a university setting strongly preferred.
Financial modeling experience strongly preferred.
Oracle experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs budget development, monitoring and reporting for operating budget.
Analyzes budget estimates for completeness and accuracy.
Consolidates budgets into operating and capital summaries and submits to management.
Monitors budget variances and identifies drivers and problems.
Provides data analysis and advisory services to stakeholders across the enterprise.
