Job summary

Jambalaya Group in Portsmouth, Ohio, seeks a capable Paraplanner/Financial Planning Associate to support the lead advisor and the advisory team. The role blends financial-planning prep with client service and daily operational support, including gathering client data, preparing analyses, and facilitating meeting materials.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in wealth management or financial planning, with licenses preferred but not required initially.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in wealth management or financial planning.
• Active securities registrations and life/health licenses preferred; able to obtain licenses after hire.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Strong accuracy, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, and update client financial information for advisor review and planning analysis.
• Prepare financial-planning reports, scenario comparisons, illustrations, and other materials.
• Prepare for client meetings with agendas, reports, and outstanding follow-up items.
• Participate in client meetings, document decisions and next steps.
