Corporate Finance Associate – FP&A & Anaplan

An established real estate investment firm is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate to join its growing corporate finance team. This is a broad-based role that combines traditional FP&A responsibilities with hands-on Anaplan model development, financial modelling, reporting enhancement and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in forecasting, management reporting and strategic financial analysis, while helping to improve the systems and tools that support business decision-making.

Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to influence how financial information is produced, analysed and utilised across the organisation. This position is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys blending commercial finance, technology and financial planning in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance corporate forecasting and planning models.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-range planning processes.
• Perform budget-versus-actual analysis and investigate key performance drivers and variances.
• Prepare management reporting, financial presentations and analysis for senior leadership.
• Design, build and enhance Anaplan models, workflows and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with finance and business teams to improve data quality and planning processes.
• Drive reporting automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support scenario analysis, strategic projects and ad hoc business initiatives.
• Leverage financial technology and practical AI solutions to improve productivity and reporting quality.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of finance systems, modelling tools and forecasting methodologies.
• Approximately 3-5 years' experience within FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including financial modelling, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience improving reporting, planning or finance processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Practical understanding of AI tools and their application within finance functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related subject.

Highly Desirable

• Experience building new functionality and enhancements within Anaplan rather than solely gathering business requirements.
• Anaplan Model Builder certification or equivalent practical model-building expertise.
• Experience within real estate, REITs, investment management or a comparable financial services environment.
• Exposure to ARGUS, Power BI and/or Salesforce.
• Experience delivering finance transformation, automation or systems implementation projects.
• CPA, CFA or similar professional qualification.
