We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis, Manager to join a dynamic developer, owner operator of power generation assets. The ideal candidate will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes specific to natural gas power generation.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and models to support decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Monitor and analyze financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators within the power markets.
- Lead financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business development.
- Review and reconcile financial data, transactions, and accounts related to power generation activities.
- Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
- Prepare tax returns, audits, and compliance filings.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on special projects and initiatives.
- Provide support to senior leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Experience with project finance and three‑statement modeling (income statement, cash flow, balance sheet).
- 6‑10 years of experience in finance, preferably within power generation, oil and gas, or data centers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial principles, concepts, and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy sector, particularly in natural gas power generation.
- Knowledge of the power markets and its regulatory environments.
- Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
