Overview

A leading company in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Manager to play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, strengthening investor and stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-quality financial and market analysis to executive leadership and the board. This is a highly visible role that will work closely with senior decision-makers, requiring exceptional analytical skills, executive-level communication abilities, and a proven track record in corporate development or investor relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of stakeholder updates, investor presentations, and strategic communications.
• Support investor meetings, roadshows, board meetings, lender updates, and rating agency evaluations.
• Conduct in-depth peer benchmarking, competitive analysis, and market research to inform strategic decisions.
• Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations for board, executive, and lender meetings.
• Monitor macroeconomic and regulatory trends in the energy sector and communicate relevant insights to leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting, analysis, and communication efficiency.
• Provide ad-hoc strategic support, including scenario modeling, M&A analysis, and due diligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
• 7-10 years experience in corporate development, investor relations, finance, or accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the power or oil & gas sector strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation design skills required.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, FactSet, AlphaSense, and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred).
• Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and US GAAP.
• Strong organizational discipline, attention to detail, and executive presence.
