Job description

We are seeking a Financial Planner who will serve an assigned high-net-worth client base. The Financial Planner will develop ongoing relationships with the client’s Financial Planning Consultant and CPA, reviewing each client’s financial situation, making observations and recommendations, and taking ownership of the planning process. The role involves developing a comprehensive knowledge of the client's financial situation, identifying planning opportunities, and ensuring implementation. The Financial Planner may also work with prospects and support relationship development with new or prospective clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the lead planner/project manager for an assigned client/prospect base.
  2. Coordinate with clients regarding planning needs, relationship development, and deliverable/solution development for clients and meetings.
  3. Organize and lead the creation of deliverables/solutions as agreed with the financial advisor, collaborating with other areas as appropriate.
  4. Enter client data into financial planning software.
  5. Analyze data for planning opportunities and recommendations.
  6. Develop, review, and approve deliverables for client meetings, including but not limited to:
  • Balance Sheet/Net Worth Statement
  • Cash Flow Analysis (including Social Security recommendations)
  • Income Tax Analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university, and/or two to four years of related experience and/or training.
    • Four years of related experience and/or training required.
    • Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, CRM database, PowerPoint, email, and internet usage.
    Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations
    • The CFP certification is required.
    • One or more of the following is preferred: CPA, CFA, or ChFC.
    Physical Demands & Work Effort
    • Keying/typing, standing, walking.
    • Sitting for extended periods.
    • Constant mental and/or visual attention; work may be repetitive or diversified, requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
    • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance.
    • Compliance with company attendance standards.
    Compensation

    The base salary for this role is $86,000. Compensation packages are based on various factors including skill set, experience, certifications, and office location. Compensation may differ by location due to labor cost considerations.
