Job Description:

We are looking for a remote, initially part-time financial planning analyst who can create budgets and financial forecasts for a growing multiple 7-figure marketing agency business. You will review our books each month, project growth in revenue and costs, including budgeting for all major categories in the P&L on an annual and rolling basis. You will report to Co-CEO John Corcoran and support executive management on hiring, spending, and operational challenges.

Your role involves proactively predicting business changes, developing budgets, and analyzing what is working and what is not to facilitate growth. Additionally, you will oversee the quality control of our monthly accounting close process, managed by our Controller, using trend analysis and monthly reviews to improve forecasting accuracy and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop annual budgets with support from our fractional CFO, applying these to create and recommend financial plans.
2. Implement recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual review and forecasting processes, including reporting procedures for communicating goals and performance to management and staff.
3. Prepare forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance, and business conditions.
4. Perform operational analysis to evaluate progress and adjust future goals.
5. Identify revenue and expense trends, working with our Controller, bookkeeper, and CFO to provide insights and recommendations.
6. Review financial statements, analyze variances, and suggest corrective actions.
7. Develop KPIs and operational metrics to understand business dynamics and support decision-making.
8. Collaborate with our Controller to review the monthly close process and analyze results.
9. Provide ROI analysis for client projects.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is remote and flexible. We seek someone available for at least 20 hours per week, with flexibility to increase hours as needed. Required Skills:

• 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in a marketing agency environment.
• Self-starter who works independently and loves what they do.
• Friendly and team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication skills via email and Slack.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and experience with Google Drive.
• Reliable internet connection.
