Colorado School of Mines is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst II to join the Budget and Financial Planning team in Golden, CO. You will analyze campus portfolio budgets, develop scenario analyses, and support budgeting processes and forecasting for various units.

The role emphasizes financial modeling, data visualization, and collaboration with campus partners. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years’ experience are required; master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in budgeting, financial planning, or closely aligned work.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday and Adaptive Planning.
• Experience with large complex data sets and data visualization.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and summarize campus portfolio budget and fund variances; produce monthly and annual reports.
• Develop scenario analyses for enrollment changes, state appropriations, research growth, and investments.
• Support campus projects with analyses and briefing materials for portfolio partners.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to measure financial performance and trends; explain outcomes.
