About the Role

We’re seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounting & FP&A Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support both financial planning & analysis and core accounting operations, providing insights that inform decision-making while ensuring accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally to support strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• • Own and execute the monthly and annual close process, including reconciliations and journal entries
• • Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and assist with full financial statement preparation
• • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business performance
• • Analyze financial results and prepare summary reports and dashboards for leadership
• • Partner with business units to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and model scenarios
• • Support cash flow analysis, revenue forecasting, and cost control initiatives
• • Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and support dashboard reporting
• • Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial processes and reporting
• • Support audits, tax filings, and other regulatory compliance needs
• • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly closes

Requirements

• • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• • 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or FP&A (SaaS or startup experience a plus)
• • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Maxio for reporting and reconciliation
• • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of financial modeling
• • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
• • Experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries
• • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights
• • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and meeting deadlines
• • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• • Experience supporting external audits or tax filings is a plus
• • Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP is a bonus
