Position Summary:
The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of Adirondack Health, in collaboration with the Controller, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. In this capacity, s/he is responsible for the supervision of the staff accountant. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for the completion of the annual budget, annual audit, Form 990 tax returns for both the hospital and the foundation and all cost reports submitted to NYS and CMS. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager prepares and analyzes business unit proformas and financial modeling. This includes working with management and department leaders in identifying and quantifying the assumptions.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Accounting degree from an accredited college required.
2. CPA, MBA, or MS preferred.
3. 8 or more years relevant experience required, health care experience preferred.
4. Proficient with computers, good interpersonal skills, ability to handle a complex assortment of tasks in an organized manner.
5. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
6. Must be able to work with time constraints and work well with others.
7. Highly proficient with Microsoft excel.
8. Experience with Crystal Reports, Kronos, and Meditech preferred.
