Job summary

Sunward in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Financial Analyst to perform analysis, modeling, and reporting for the Finance team across reporting, planning and analysis, projects, or treasury and balance-sheet management. You will build and maintain data, models, and standard reports that support forecasting and decision-making.

The role requires working independently within established frameworks, handling moderately complex requests with guidance, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge is required
• Core finance concepts including NPV, IRR, and DCF understood
• Must be able to work independently with guidance within established frameworks

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models and forecasts (budget and forecast, profitability, pricing) using loan and deposit data
• Prepare and analyze management, ALCO, and liquidity reporting; investigate variances
• Administer loan analytics platform and other reporting tools; data extraction from servicing/collections systems
• Maintain historical loss data and CECL framework documentation
• Support call reporting, FASB, and other regulatory reporting
• Improve reporting and forecasting processes; automate recurring outputs
• Coordinate with department/cost-center owners to gather inputs and validate results; perform moderately complex ad hoc analyses
• Follow policies and internal controls; identify and resolve exceptions

Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
