Kestra Financial, Inc. is seeking a Director of Financial Planning to support ~1,450 financial advisors by building comprehensive plans across investment, tax, estate, retirement, and insurance disciplines.

You will communicate recommendations clearly, deliver educational content, and drive strategic planning initiatives within the Advanced Planning department. The role emphasizes collaboration with investors and advisors, ownership of projects, and staying current with planning technology,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in financial planning with cross-functional initiatives.
• CFP certification required.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning principles including investment analysis, tax strategies, estate planning, retirement modeling, and risk management.
• Proficiency with financial planning software and advanced Excel modeling.

Responsabilités

• Mentor financial planners and junior team members.
• Lead and execute advanced planning projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and tools.
• Own the tech stack and recommend planning tools.
• Develop new planning frameworks, client deliverables, and intellectual capital.
• Create and deliver educational content for internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate with advisors to gather data and develop tailored plans using modeling tools.
• Analyze client situations to identify opportunities and risks across disciplines.
• Prepare and present high-impact financial plans to investors and advisors.
• Provide ongoing support on planning best practices and technology.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date on regulations, market conditions, and industry developments.
• Document all activities per firm policies.
• Attend conferences and engage with attendees.
