Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Financial Ops Generalist 1 in Augusta YDC to perform paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control duties under supervision. Responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, payroll preparation, and budget monitoring.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with two years of related accounting experience, or an associate degree plus experience; GAAP knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience; or one (1) year at the lower level Accounting Technician Trainee (FIT019) or position equivalent.
• Basic understanding of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to balance and reconcile accounting records and assist with audits.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile accounting records, statements, journals, ledgers or reports.
• Collect fees or revenues, disburse payments and post to accounts.
• Prepare standard accounting reports and assist with audits.
