Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Financial Operations Specialist to oversee financial matters, including regulatory interpretation, audits, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting. The role collaborates with teams to ensure federal compliance and effective risk management in a dynamic lab environment.

On any given day you will post GL entries, manage payables/receivables, analyze financial reports, support forecasting, and maintain accurate records while adhering to policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Post general ledger and sub ledger entries
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, payments and expense reports
• Preparing and analyzing financial reports to support decision-making
• Carry out internal controls activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
• Ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
