Job summary

West Texas Investments is seeking a detail‑oriented associate to support financial advisors and clients in daily operations. You will help with paperwork, client communications, and event planning while maintaining CRM data accuracy and client profiles.

This role requires independent work, reliability, and a willingness to pursue securities licenses if needed. A team‑oriented, client‑focus culture supports growth and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, brokerage operations, or related field.
  • Willingness to obtain required securities licenses (Series 6, 7, 63, 65) if not licensed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and track client paperwork
  • Process trades (if licensed)
  • Process money movement and check requests
  • Contact clients for appointments and follow-up items
  • Manage and maintain CRM (Wealthbox)
  • Maintain client profiles in account system (Clientworks)
  • Plan and carry out client engagements and events
  • Act as a liaison between firm and home office compliance
  • Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls as necessary
  • Welcome and assist clients in the office
  • Provide ongoing support for advisors and clients as needed
  • Research and stay current on regulatory changes and requirements

Job Summary:

This associate will work closely with both financial advisors and clients and will aid in office efficiency, productivity, and growth. This position will be an integral part of the firm's day-to-day operations.

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys creating efficient processes, solving problems, and providing exceptional service to both clients and advisors. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, take ownership of their responsibilities, and be eager to grow with a close-knit team.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, process, and track client paperwork

  • Support special projects as needed
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, brokerage operations, or a related field
  • Willingness to obtain required securities licenses (e.g. Series 6, 7, 63, 65), if not already licensed
  • Experience with financial planning software and CRM Systems; familiarity with RightCapital, ClientWorks, and/or Wealthbox is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential client and financial information with discretion
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines for multiple advisors
  • Ability to work both independently and with team members
Preferred:
  • Experience at a financial planning/wealth management firm
