Job summary

Frontier Farm Credit offers a 12-week summer internship in ag finance, located in South Dakota area. Interns will work on real projects, support marketing, finance input, and credit verifications while gaining exposure to lending processes and customer interactions.

Travel to Omaha, NE for orientation and key events is required; travel expenses are covered. Competitive hourly wage with a $500 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Our interns work on projects that matter—and teams will rely on your skills and insights to help deliver those projects to market. You’ll get the opportunity to work on real projects and have fun along the way.

• Learn general office procedures and assist with various promotional activities

You will have the opportunity to:

• Observe marketing/sales and prospecting calls by Financial Officers.
• Observe new loan applications, renewals and additional loans.
• Observe loan closing for exposure to legal requirements.
• Observe Appraiser to gain an understanding of the procedures and requirements of real estate and chattel appraisals

Travel Time

• Must be available to travel to Omaha, NE three times during the internship: for Orientation, Mid-Summer, and Closing events. Travel expenses will be covered.

Education Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in Ag Business, Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science or similar degree
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

• Strong desire to gain further understanding of the ag finance, lending and credit business
