Job summary

Frontier Farm Credit in Minnesota offers a 12-week summer internship focused on accounting and payroll services for farming operations. You will learn reporting rules and help educate customers, while collaborating on external materials and education events.

Travel to Omaha, NE for Orientation, Mid-Summer, and Closing events is required and travel expenses are covered. A competitive hourly wage and $500 sign-on bonus are offered to qualified interns.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Education, Business, Accounting, Tax, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong communication skills.

Job Summary

• Contribute to providing timely and accurate accounting and payroll services for farming operations and owners of farmland.
• Assist in the education of farm accounting customers on the importance of effective and accurate reporting.
• Learn more about accounting rules and maintaining deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams on the development of materials for external audiences.
• Coordinate the logistics of assigned customer education events.

Travel Time

• Must be available to travel to Omaha, NE three times during the internship: for Orientation, Mid-Summer, and Closing events. Travel expenses will be covered.

Education Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in Education, Business, Accounting, Tax, Finance or other related degrees.
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong desire to pursue a career involving adult education, program management, sales, marketing and territory management.
