Job summary

Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) seeks a Government Operations Consultant III (Financial Monitor) to oversee budgets and fiscal operations within the SAMH Program Office. The role requires independent judgment, detail orientation, and collaboration across sections to ensure compliant funding use.

The ideal candidate will monitor expenditures, prepare reports, and support management decisions with clear financial insights while aligning with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: bachelor's degree with four years of professional budgeting, accounting, auditing, or financial planning/analysis; or master's with three years; CPA or similar can substitute.
• Preference will be given to applicants with Office analytics, grant management, and budgeting experience.
• Ability to produce financial reports, manage budgets, and support program management decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor program budgets and fiscal operations in the Opioid Recovery unit.
• Reconcile expenditures and ensure invoices align with PALM, FIS, MFMP systems.
• Develop budgets and revisions with program managers.
• Provide monthly budget updates to ensure efficient fund utilization.
• Manage state and federal grant budgets and reporting.
