Cumberland County seeks a Financial Manager II to oversee the accounting and fiscal operations of the Cumberland County Courts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements. Starting salary is $38.34 hourly or $74,763 yearly.

The role involves budgeting, forecasting, staff training, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for county and auditors. The position offers generous benefits including medical, retirement, paid time off, and voluntary programs;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with an accounting emphasis.
• 2-3 years in government accounting or accounting related experience. Audit experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains a detailed accounting system to meet all fiscal requirements for grants, reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with Court Leadership Team to ensure uniform financial policies and procedures across the Court.
• Assist with short- and long-term financial/economic forecasting for Court Funds.
• Develop and prepare the county budget used for forecasting, managing and approving invoices.
• Train and manage fiscal staff to meet reporting needs; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for auditors.
• Manage service contracts and oversee special projects, including new software implementations and staff training.
