Responsibilities

• Oversees all financial activities for a large and complex institute, department, center or unit.
• Manages workflow and analyst performance; conducts analyses to identify revenue and other trends.
• Manages the business plan, financial reporting, payroll, month-end close, accruals and accounts payable.
• Develops budgets for new hires or projects and monitors spending.
• Prepares productivity, compliance and profit/loss reports; reviews contracts and tracks renewals.
• Analyzes revenues to identify billing issues and trends; supports costing, budgeting and charge capture.
• Creates data sets for executive presentations; recommends policy/process improvements.
• May train and oversee financial analysts; handles travel, POs and HR transactions.
• Assists with special projects and provides analytical support.
