United States Attorneys' Offices in Texas (Eastern District) seeks a Paralegal Specialist (Financial Litigation) to support the Financial Litigation Program. The role involves legal research, drafting briefs and subpoenas, and analyzing debtors' financial information to aid in federal collections and public rights enforcement.
The position requires eligibility for federal employment, a security background check, and compliance with selective service where applicable.
Qualificações
- Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 level performing paralegal or legal work with basic knowledge of legal research.
- Education: Master’s or JD; or 2 years of graduate education in related field.
- Combining Education and Experience: graduate教育 hours in excess of 18 semester hours may be used with experience to meet requirements.
Responsabilidades
- Review and organize complex factual material for investigations and trials.
- Provide advice on preparing legal documents.
- Analyze debtors' financial information to determine ability to pay.
- Draft subpoenas, interrogatories, and various legal documents.
- Prepare charts, graphs, and tables for trial presentations.
