Job summary

The Florida Office of the Attorney General is hiring a Financial Investigator-CONSUMER PROTECT to join the Consumer Protection Division in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Fort Myers. You will conduct complex investigations into consumer fraud, unfair trade practices, and asset concealment, supporting civil litigation or settlement while coordinating with partners.

Qualifications

Nine years of investigative or law enforcement experience with two years in financial investigations.
Bachelor's degree with five years of investigative experience including two years in financial investigations.
Master's degree with three years of investigative experience including two years in financial investigations.

Responsibilities

Conduct complex fraud and financial investigations involving FDUTPA violations and related schemes.
Develop and implement investigative strategies, pursue leads, and document evidence.
Prepare detailed reports, affidavits, and case briefs for civil litigation.
Utilize OSINT/SOCMINT tools to develop leads and gather evidence.
Coordinate with attorneys and law enforcement, assist with subpoenas and witness interviews.
Testify in depositions, hearings, and trials and travel as required.
