Financial Data Analytics Business Partner - REMOTE

Job Summary

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team is responsible for data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on Ryder's fleet of 150,000 vehicles. The team aims to optimize asset management strategies to maximize profitability and collaborates with Operations leadership to implement solutions and measure financial improvements. This fast-paced environment leverages cutting-edge analytics to promote data-driven decision making across the organization.

Essential Functions

• Actively seek out new improvement opportunities, analyze root causes, and challenge assumptions for continuous enhancement.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify cost-saving opportunities, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, create progress reports, and present savings to senior leadership.
• Mine data using SQL to identify trends, determine cause-and-effect, and advise on potential improvements.
• Develop automated performance reports in Power BI to communicate metrics and highlight improvement areas.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness by working with Operations and IT to understand business processes and data storage.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and how business actions impact financial statements.
• Proven ability to drive results through data insights.
• Passion for analyzing large datasets and collaborating with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Ability to make and communicate recommendations to senior management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, including in Corporate Finance, Statistical Analysis, or Transportation Industrial Engineering preferred.
