Job summary

Stifel Financial Corp. is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Digital Solutions group. You will handle ad-hoc data extraction, build T-SQL queries, and act as a subject matter expert on raw data sets.

You will work with business users, product management, and development teams to translate requirements into actionable data sets and maintain comprehensive data documentation. The role emphasizes data quality, stakeholder communication, and opportunities to improve data processes within a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/Business Administration
• 1-3 years' investment, financial or technical experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software
• Exposure to systems monitoring tools and logging tools
• Relational databases concepts understood
• Ability to create intermediate SQL queries
• Experience with AWS and Python is preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle ad-hoc data extraction and reporting requests from various areas of the business
• Translate requirements into queries to provide objective data sets
• Serve as SME for assigned raw data sets and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with business users, product management and development teams to refine requirements
• Provide peer review of ad-hoc data requests and assist team on larger projects
• Identify and recommend process improvements within the team
• Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and update on status
• Triages requests to balance time sensitivity and team workload
• Understand company applications and business practices impacting data
• Perform in-depth analysis of raw data sets
