Position Description: The University of Louisville Financial & Strategic Initiatives is seeking a Financial Coordinator IV. This role is responsible for the day-to-day financial transaction items for the Provost Finance Office. This coordinator position will reconcile and process accounts payable, including purchases, vendor contracts, personal service contracts, requests for proposals, requisitions, and purchase orders. The position will ensure all transactions are correctly recorded according to accounting standards and adhere to university policies, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.

The financial coordinator also develops, interprets, and implements policies, rules, and regulations, and recommends procedures to meet financial and operational goals. They will consult with provost office units regarding operations and efficiencies as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the liaison between the customer and the Provost Finance Office and other central offices.
  • Review and complete routine transactions within the University's Financial Management System (FMS).
  • Complete Purchase Orders and Expense reports for the University Provost's office and administrative offices.
  • Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to develop business process standards and resource guides.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc budget reports within the Provost Administrative Offices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert in Excel
  • Experience with Workday Finance or similar systems
  • Proficient in Outlook and Word
  • Experience in accounting, financial analysis, budget creation, forecasting, system maintenance, dashboards, and troubleshooting.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
