An experienced Controller is sought by my client. This is a permanent hire (not a contract). Your talent will lead the accounting team for the largest up-scale supplier to national home-builders. This impressive privately owned manufacturing company has a legacy of success and a stable customer base. Headquarters are in Pomona, California with a manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico. Responsibilities:

• Orchestrate the daily accounting/finance operations (AR, AP, GL, payroll, etc.)
• Produce accurate, timely financial reports (including consolidation of Mexico operations, hence the need for Spanish proficiency).
• Oversee risk management, insurance, and compliance programs.
• Job costing and WIP. Cost margin analysis.
• Assess and improve ERP and IT systems. Track KPIs. Harness Business Intelligence.
• Accomplish the closing process (month, quarter, annual).
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Coordinate with external CPA regarding tax and audit.
• Manage 7 direct reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (additional credentials are a plus).
• Agreeable to onsite work in Pomona AND bi-monthly travel to Tijuana, Mexico.
• Skilled at business intelligence (KPI tracking) and financial analysis to guide business decisions.
• Experience performing a wide spectrum of accounting duties, including job costing and WIP. Comfortable and capable of hands-on technical accounting; command of daily details. Exceptional analytical skills.
• GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition.
• Technology savvy, including Excel and accounting software. Preferably having experience with ERP conversions and SQL skills.
• Industry experience relevant to manufacturing sub-contractors.
