Job summary

Lawhive is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function for the Management Services Organization at the group level. You will own the integrity of financial records, monthly closes, and consolidated reporting across the platform and affiliated entities.

This hands-on leader will build scalable processes, ensure controls, and partner with finance, operations, and advisors to provide timely, reliable data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and close processes.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
• Experience managing external audits and with tax advisors.
• Solid internal controls and process design skills.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own month/quarter/year-end close for MSO and entities.
• Lead consolidation and intercompany accounting, eliminations.
• Maintain general ledger, COA, and accounting policies (US GAAP).
• Oversee payables, receivables, payroll, fixed assets, cash reconciliations.
• Design and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors/tax advisors.
• Ensure tax/regulatory compliance in coordination with advisers.
• Support integration of acquired firms and standardize accounts.
• Collaborate with FP&A to reconcile to budget/forecast.
• Evaluate/implement accounting systems to improve data quality.
