Job summary

Lawhive is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function for the Management Services Organization across the group. You will own the integrity of financial records, the monthly close, and consolidated reporting for the platform and affiliated entities.

This hands-on role requires deep US GAAP knowledge, multi-entity consolidation experience, and a track record in building scalable controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience owning the full-cycle close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations, including intercompany transactions.
• Experience managing external audits and working with auditors and tax advisors.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and process design.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes for MSO and entities.
• Lead intercompany accounting and consolidation across multi-entity structure.
• Maintain general ledger, COA, and accounting policies per US GAAP.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash reconciliations.
• Design and maintain internal controls to protect assets.
• Manage annual audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Oversee tax regulatory filings with external advisors.
• Support integration of acquired firms into systems.
• Partner with FP&A to reconcile actuals to budget.
• Evaluate and optimize accounting systems for scalability.
