The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial control environment, accounting operations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial governance. In an insurance and investment environment, the role provides strong oversight of insurance accounting, investment accounting, portfolio reporting, capital adequacy, reserves, and financial risk controls.
Lead the financial control and accounting function.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and management accounts.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
Oversee investment accounting, including valuation, income recognition, and portfolio reconciliation.
Monitor insurance-related accounting, including premiums, claims, reserves, commissions, and reinsurance transactions.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and capital requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, insurance regulations, tax requirements, and regulatory reporting.

Strong background in financial control, financial reporting, accounting, audit, and governance.

Practical knowledge of investment accounting and portfolio reporting is highly desirable.
Experience with regulatory reporting and financial-control frameworks.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and relevant insurance accounting requirements.
Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
