Reporting directly to the President, the Controller is a hands-on, participatory leader and a critical member of the executive management team. This role oversees the Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology departments, driving strategic decision-making, operations, budgeting, accounting, risk management, and contracts. The Controller is essential in managing financial health, evaluating manufacturing costs, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure the realization of the organization’s strategic growth targets.
Oversee all financial and accounting functions, including financial systems management, treasury, audits, business insurance, and tax policies.
Analyze and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while managing organizational cash flow and forecasting.
Lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the General Manager, monitoring progress and keeping leadership appraised of financial status.
Perform detailed cost accounting tasks, including analyzing data to determine the costs of raw materials, inventory, labor, and manufacturing methods.
Utilize Absorption and Project Accounting to record cost information and compare standard costs to actual production costs.
Oversee HR functions, including headcount reporting, recruiting, employee requisitions, policy development, and state/international employment law compliance.
Provide leadership and continuous mentorship for managers and staff, while supporting the IT Manager in maintaining software/hardware needs.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all departments, recommending corrective actions to achieve goals.
Bachelor’s degree (or beyond) in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership positions.
Strong computer skills, including ERP software and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share complex financial data or difficult challenges transparently with the President and executive team.
High integrity, truth-seeking mindset, and the courage to make hard decisions and resolve differences with urgency.
Ability to seamlessly balance strategic planning with tactical, roll-up-your-sleeves execution.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred.
Leadership experience specifically within aviation manufacturing, aerospace, or a similar environment dealing with aircraft or interior designs.
Commercially adept with a proven track record of driving growth and implementing effective cost-control measures.
